The Democrats and Republicans don’t want to hear the truth, but the American public doesn’t feel like they have a choice, but as a veteran and an avid republican voter. I am sick the way the two parties rule out any challenges from a true candidate. I have already sent my absentee ballot in and I voted for Mr. Barr. I wish the American public could hear the real deal.

I want to vote for Barr, but im too scared of Obama being elected and feel i must vote for Mccain.
By Joey on Oct 16, 2008
I feel the same way as Joey above (2).
By Tom on Oct 16, 2008
That is the game they are playing and winning. They want us to feel like we have to pick between the lesser of 2 evils. And if we cast our vote for a 3rd party, the worst of the 2 evils will win. But we HAVE to stop playing that game. We have break the cycle or it will never end. I have commited to voting outside party lines and I hope everyone will do what is best for this country and follow suit.

I took an online quiz recently that matched me with Bob Barr as the best candidate for me (Which I already knew, I just wanted to see what they said). Unfortunately, one of the topics Barr and I disagree on, apparently, is Network Neutrality, or the idea that an ISP or someone in control of internet and network access cannot and should not be allowed to limit the access to that network. The internet should always be free and equal.
I agree with Net Neutrality.
What is Bob Barr’s stance on Net Neutrality and technology advances in general? Does Bob Barr believe that laws should be passed that make it illegal for corporations to shape and control the way people access the internet?
By Tom on Oct 16, 2008
I like barrs ideas he has written on his page, but without plans written down how do we know they are legitamate. Look at Obama he changes his stance every debate and if you read his plans we would know he lies. Bob please put plans behind your words to give american voters real ideas. thanks
By Shawn on Oct 17, 2008
Mr. Barr, In reading through your site, I do not see anything on abortion. Maybe I am just not looking good enough. I would really like to know where you stand on this issue. I think I have a good idea where you stand on it, however, I would like a DIRECT ANSWER on what your stance is. Pro-Life, or Pro-Choice. Please email it to me at the addy I provided you. Thank you so much, and good luck in this election year.

tom and joey what states are you from? Personally im from california so I know obama will carry it, similarly my roommates are from mississippi and he knows that mccain will without a doubt carry it. In such cases it makes the decision to vote barr much more simple.
In closer circumstances its just a matter of values..even if mccain loses we shud send a message
By mike on Oct 17, 2008
I’m hesitant to trust someone who previously advocated the PATRIOT ACT.
Despite the claim by many Congressmen that they never read the bill before signing (which is obviously careless) the ones that did read it and signed it anyway are in no position to represent me.
Trading freedom for security is never an option.
I don’t care how secure we are, I refuse to live in an Orwellian nation.
How can I be sure that Barr is what he says he is about?
By Steven Grant on Oct 20, 2008
My fiance and I are both voting for Barr. We both realize that we may be “throwing our votes away,” but we also both strongly feel that if people don’t start voting for third party candidates things will never change in this country. If enough people vote for Barr it will at least send a message to Washington that we are fed up, growing in numbers, and their time in charge is limited. As long as people keep the attitude that they must vote for one of the two big parties just to keep the other guy from winning, politics in this country will continue to be the cess pool it has become.
By Angela on Oct 21, 2008
I just want to let you know that you have gained my vote
By Dale on Oct 22, 2008
Bob, I am so glad you are running. The U.S. needs to get ourselves out of this 2 party system. I need you to be CLEAR on your position on abortion for you to get my vote! Please e-mail this, but, my advice is to get out of the closet with this; it’s too important.
By Marla on Oct 23, 2008
a vote for bob barr is a wasted vote!vote mccain!bob barr has no chance!we have to unite conservatives to save our country from barack O-BOMB-US!

MCCAIN/PALIN 08
By Patrick on Oct 23, 2008
BOB BARR IS TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LIBERAL FOR ME! AND IM NOT WASTING A VOTE ON HIM!
MCCAIN 08!
By Patrick on Oct 23, 2008
I agree with Tim. I found no comment or opinion about abortion:for or against. What about partional birth abortion - pulling an unborn child our of the mothers uterus and sucking the brain out so the skull can be crushed before the final removal? No opinion or stance? I’m tending to vote for Bob Barr but would apperciate an answer.
By Martha Kennedy on Oct 23, 2008
I am like some of the above. What is your position on abortion? It really makes a difference to me. I’m about committed to voting for barr, but would PLEASE
like an answer to my e-mail address above BEFORE Nov 4.
Thanks

Bob Barr has my vote, but I have a very specific question that isn’t addressed my any of the candidates.
In a libertarian-run country, how would government play a role in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities? Education? Housing?
I’m against public housing and I am strongly in favor of private education, but I see people with intellectual disabilities being excluded.
By Brian on Oct 28, 2008
Mr. Barr,
I am a student at Council Rock High School South, which is in Pennsylvania. My dad and I are hardcore libertarians, and I was researching your positions on numerous issues including abortion, education, and several others in preparation for a social studies in-class debate. I noticed, however, that your page regarding abortion is somehow missing and your page regarding education actually redirects to the monetary policy page. I would also like to know when these pages are back up, if at all possible. An email would be great.
Thank you.

Why does Bob not post his views on abortion? I will need to see those before he gets my vote - but I agree with most eveything else for which he stands.
By Ian on Oct 28, 2008
Being a Constitutional Conserva-tarian, I whole heartedly agree with Barr, that nowhere in the Constitution does it provide for government interference in the disposition of abortion, pro or con, period!
By Julian on Oct 29, 2008
On a serious note, I believe Barr is the candidate of my choice because of his stunning looks and the way he carries himself. He is truly beautiful. I love you baby.
By Mak Beezy on Oct 29, 2008
“Tis far better to dare great deeds and fail, than to stand with those poor timid individuals who know neither victory or defeat.” To all those who consider a vote for Barr a waste of a vote or a “protest”, go throw your vote away and vote for Mayor McCheese. I for one will stand up, wipe my nose, and not be a knee -jerk reactionary. We may not win, but at least we will sow the seeds of real change ,you chickens!

I beleive that it is unfair for the government to
require people to serve on juries. The mandatory
jury duty in California requires everyone to travel
a long distance to get to a distant couthouse and this
makes it difficult for pedestrians to make it to jury duty
because they are not allowed to serve at courts near
where they live. This means that pedestrians are also
frequently denied justice.
Mandatory jury duty is also unfair because it takes
skilled workers and managers away from work on
important workdays.
With increases in litigation and it getting harder
to get excused from jury duty I have noticed that
On October 19th I asked the Libertarian Party whether
the Liberatrain Party will support an all volunteer
jury system for every court in the 2008 campaign.
Eric Matteson ( A VOTER !!!! )
By Eric Matteson on Nov 2, 2008
If third party candidates are going to have a chance at getting to washington we need a change in the ballot. Right now we have the traditional 1 person equals 1 vote… this favors a two party system because people feel like they have to vote for the “lesser of two evils” or else they are throwing away their vote. If we petition to get a new ballot which gives every persony say.. 5 votes… they can use all 5 on one candidate, or divide up 1 for Bob Barr, 1 for Ralph Nader, 2 for John McCain… or however the voter chooses. This ballot would greatly boost third party candidates, not only for the presidency but all publicly elected offices. The Libertarian party should organize with the help of other third parties to change the ballot.
By Aaron on Nov 8, 2008
My friends & family have accused me of wasting my vote. There is no such thing as a wasted vote!
That accusation alone shows that people in this country of ours are motivated solely by fear.
Both big parties are pro-big government (1 side pro big govt socialism, the other pro-protectionist big govt military). Both voted on the bailout.
I’m proud to say I voted for the only party built on reason rather than hype/fear, just as the US Constition was built on reason, so is the Libertarian party.
Stop looking to big government to solve your problems, or they will

ALL OF YOU THAT VOTED FOR BOB BARR WASTED A VOTE!!!!NOW OBAMA IS ELECTED , SOCIALISM IS KNOCKING ON OUR DOOR!SHAME ON YOU IF YOU VOTED FOR BOB BARR!
By Patrick on Nov 25, 2008
SHAME ON YOU, PATRICK, FOR GOING WITH THE FLOW AND VOTING FOR A GUY THAT IS IN CAHOOTS WITH OBAMA AND BUSH!!! WHY DON’T YOU DO US ALL A FAVOR-MAKE YOUR OWN LOUSY BOB-BASHING WEBSITE IF YOU DON’T LIKE HIM, AND LEAVE BOB’S SITE THE HELL ALONE!!! FACE IT-YOU’RE JUST A TYPICAL LIBERAL-SILENCING THE OPPOSITION!!! I BET YOU WORK FOR THE OTHER SIDE, OR ELSE YOU’RE JUST TOO IGNORANT TO SEE PAST YOUR OWN NOSE!!! I VOTED FOR BOB BARR, AND WAS TOO POOR TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAMPAIGN FINANCIALLY, BUT I LIKE WHAT HE STANDS FOR!! AS FOR ABORTION, IT SHOULDN’T BE BANNED OR PUBLICLY FUNDED. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO DO IT, LET THEM PAY FOR IT, NOT US!!! WHY DOESN’T ANYONE TALK ABOUT REAL ISSUES, LIKE THE TRILLION DOLLAR PORK-LADEN OMNIBUS SPENDING BILL THAT JUST PASSED CONGRESS, OR THE DEFICIT PLAN OBAMA HAS!!!
By Chris on Feb 27, 2009
its not a wasted vote. you see i am gonna vote for who i say should be president and hope that people vote with me im not gonna vote Mccain just because hes more popular. hes an idiot. obama is not a good canidate either but is much better than Mccain. Obama can say change change all he wants but the true canidate for change is Bob Barr.
